Bullard Dental isn’t your average dental office–we work hard to alleviate any ‘white coat syndrome’ that follows you here. If your teeth aren’t where you’d like them to be, we have the ability to provide everything from fillings to full mouth restoration. Even if you are a self-identified scaredy-cat, there’s no need to worry. We have three levels of sedation that will help make your appointment a breeze.
Did you know 92% of adults 20 to 64 have had cavities in their permanent teeth? So if you have a cavity, don’t feel bad because…well…you are in excellent company. The hard truth about this statistic is 26% of people with cavities haven’t had them treated. As we learn more and more about the disease that causes cavities, leaving them untreated is riskier than we ever thought. The bacteria that contributes to oral issues have been linked to, and can sometimes aggravate, systemic conditions. Long story short — it’s important to treat your mouth like the gateway to the rest of your body, because it is.
Dr. Bullard will help get you nice and numb, remove the decayed area of the tooth and replace it with color-matched filling material, which should blend in almost seamlessly with your other teeth. If it’s been a while since your last filling, tooth-colored fillings have become the new standard of care.
Inlays and onlays are a slightly different procedure than fillings. A filling is built from inside the cavity, while inlays and onlays are placed on top of a decayed area on the chewing surface of your molars. They are used when there is too much decay for a filling, but not enough to warrant a crown. The procedure looks similar to a filling from your side of the dental chair — same open mouth, same safety glasses — but on our end, we’re solving a slightly different dental issue.
A dental crown is for a tooth so damaged by decay the root of the tooth is in jeopardized by potential infection. Once the decay has been removed from the tooth, a dental crown is placed–like a cap–over the remaining healthy tooth structure. In most dental offices, this procedure takes two separate appointments, but not at Bullard Dental! Dr. Bullard has invested in CEREC technology to provide convenient, beautiful same day crowns.
Same day crowns take less time and are a more comfortable experience for the patient. Some advantages include:
Dr. Bullard will take a 3D impression of your tooth before fabricating the crown right before your eyes–and you go home that day with your permanent crown!
If you’ve struggled with your teeth and are exhausted at the thought of buying more dentistry that doesn’t last, it may be time for dentures or partials. Most people fear losing their natural teeth and spend a lot of time and money trying to rebuild something that just keeps breaking. There are a million reasons people may have failing teeth: chronic illness, dry mouth, radiation therapy, genetics, or poor oral care, to name a few. Remember, we aren’t here to judge–we’re here to make your healthiest smiles happen.
All-on-4 dentures can change your life. Regular dentures are removable, which means you can take them out to clean them, but they often come loose when you least expect it, causing embarrassment and anxiety. With All-on-4, we fasten the denture to 4 metal posts that have been implanted securely into your jawbone, eliminating worries about slips and gaps. All-on-4 dentures look so natural and feel so good, no one will know they aren’t yours!
For some candidates, we can place your dentures the same day we do your extractions. This helps with healing and expedites your ability to speak normally.
Root canals have been a longstanding metaphor for suffering, but these days, they’re almost as routine as a filling. We do everything in our power to keep you comfortable and have three different sedation options available.
